Golden

seeing that moses was very late in coming down
from the mountain, the people gathered against aaron

and said to him, where is this art you have spoken of?
what should we do with these empty hands?

how much longer should we go on holding nothing
imagining that white light between our fingers?

it slips through, always does, wax from the twisted
candle, a simple flame separating the six from the one

holy one, if only it were that easy there are hundreds,
thousands, so much is possible a universe

is not what we imagine, a trillion
stars, endless galaxies

i have never met the god of my dreams but
have floated above him, shouting

there are endless paintings of what we are meant to see in
dreams, but when will those dreams come?

it is time to use our hands for something more than holding air
doesn’t he want us to be of use? why else would he have made us?
